I remember life back then:

Shopping may not be a past time that many men take much interest in, but it's best that you start doing so. When you go out shopping it's important to know what you're looking for rather than going in there without foggiest of what you want. This can, and easily will lead to you and your bank account crying when you get home. If you buy right you'll only buy once - well, so the saying goes anyway, but this is very true. When you buy quality over quantity you'll see a massive improvement to your look, wardrobe, and wallet. Another advice on shopping is to never do it alone. Even if you can't stand shopping with other people, it will give you a good knowledge of what suits you. Always ask for opinions, even if you don't like the sound of it, it will tell you what suits you and what doesn't.- Plain T-shirts (white, black, grey)
- A pair of blue jeans
- A pair of black jeans
- Black trousers
- White Trainers
- Formal shoes (black and brown)
- Black o
- Oxford shirt (white)
- Suit (black, navy or grey)
Fashion Tips
Simplicity is key when you're building a stylish wardrobe. Going too overboard with colour, detail and pattern can throw off your whole look, and we can't have that. If you're struggling to find an outfit for the day, it's important to know what looks good on you and stick with it. For a timeless look that will forever be in style, wear the classic plain white tee and jeans look. Plus it makes it seem like you haven't put too much thought into what you're wearing.
When you're out and about this winter you're bound to wear a coat or jacket. The key with this is to not buy into trend-led pieces. Your investment will have been wasted as these will date from season to season. Stick to the classic overcoat in black or camel and work around that. A timeless piece is invaluable and if it's good quality, it will last you years and years to come.
Now, I'm not saying that your look should all be simplistic without any hint of detail. Find a few accessories with a bit of detail and colour to add some personality to your look. A pocket square is a great way to add some personality to an outfit. If you're feeling adventurous enough, try wearing a red or even yellow one and simply tuck it into the top pocket of your coat or blazer. This draws the eye to that detail making people take note of what you're wearing.

We don't know how many times we've said this to people but the fit of your clothing really is everything. If you're going for a simple and classic look, it's important to know that baggy just won't cut it. Kanye West may be able to pull off the oversized look, but for many of us (including myself), we simply can't. We either end up looking like a dishevelled teenager or someone really trying to be stylish but falling flat.
When you're investing in a piece of clothing that you see yourself wearing for the next ten years, it's very important that it fits you like a glove. This may involve you going down to a high street tailor to get yourself measured. Doing this shouldn't cost you too much on the high street, but maybe it would if you fancy yourself a Savile Row kind of guy. However, most of us aren't so we will have to work with what we've got.
This piece of men's fashion advice is best used when buying a suit or trousers. If you work in a professional environment where you need to look sharp on a daily basis, then having a well-fitted suit is key. The range of our suits from yours truly, The Idle Man, are spot on to pull off a fitted look, and remember, it's easier to take a suit in, rather than out (you can't really do this).
